Sparkle is such a lovely little girly, she thinks she is a sheltie though! She is a really smart little pup, very quick to learn and has already mastered many tricks :)
She has been out and about meeting people and is confident and friendly in any situation. In fact it is hard to walk along the street without her 'dive-bombing' people!
I decided to have Sparkle coat colour tested out of interest as I have always been an equine colour genetics geek and didn't realise there were so many collie coat colours.
So far it has come back that she doesn't carry EE red or chocolate/red but she is KBby atat so tri and could produce sable if the dog carried it. I know she carries blue as her Daddy is blue. She is obviously white factored as well!
She is a little workaholic but also has a great off switch. Since she was small she has been coming with me to do trick training demos at local hospices and Day centres. She loves attention and would make an excellent PAT dog in the future when I have more time!

Sparkle puppy has now started her agility training over low jumps and is LOVING it!! She is very enthusiastic and is quick to learn new things. She sometimes thinks she knows better though! She really reminds us of Brax as a young dog-same fiesty attitude :)
She has done some demo's at a local hospice and was a very good girly. She has also done her first bits of work as a stooge dog and been brilliant. Spark loves her trick training and I think could excel at HTM or obedience if only I had more hours in the week! I would like to try Cani cross with her and Brodie in the future :) Thanks to Lian Knight for these fab pics!

Sparkle has had a good start to the year with a couple of G5 jumping wins at KC. She is maturing in her work and coping nicely with the harder courses...in fact it seems that its only easy Beginners courses at UKA that we can't go clear on! We are still doing a lot of nfc at Fab and UKA shows to reward contacts in the ring :-) This last weekend Miss Sparkle won a C4-7 jumping and in the UKA Beginners S/C she had the fastest time by 4 seconds but had a couple of poles!
Sparkle got her third Rally excellent score today giving her letters after her name! She got 195 and 6th place despite being a little bit distracted! She won Beginners gamblers at Kelluki and her prize was a pretty pink lead-perfect!! |

My little girly has gone Grade 7!!! Perfect timing doing it at her last outdoor show of the year as we now have winter to do some serious training to get ready for the odd champ class! She also did her first Level 3 Rally class and got an excellent score! Sparkle also competed in the Animal Health Classic Company Final recently and would have won if she hadn't taken a brick out of the wall! She managed to do the water jump :-D Sparkle has gone Grade 6!!! She competed at Quadpaws UKA show and JDA KC show (4 days in total) and managed to get 5 wins out of the 7 classes she did! One being the elusive agility win that takes her to G6. I was really pleased that she wasn't actually E'd in any of her runs, just a couple of poles and me making a mistake. She is maturing so well and definitely feels ready for the challenge of Grade 6 :-)
2015
Miss Sparklelina has gone Grade 5!!! She got her third jumping win this weekend on a tricky G4-5 course :-) I LOVE the trophies too! She only did one agility run (as I didn't feel the other course was safe for her) but her contacts were brilliant. Rather than being E'd in most of her runs like the start of the season we are now mostly getting the odd refusal or weave faults. We are getting there and I am loving the adventure with my Sparkler! |
Sparkle was a little star at JDA show in May and had three runs, three clears and three wins! She won the C3-5 agility (oops-that wasn't the plan to go Grade 4 yet!) C3-5 jumping and C1-3 helter skelter. We will be doing some UKA so I can reward in the ring and keep her confidence up.
Sparkle has done two Rally competitions at Level 1 now and has achieved excellent scores in both classes (197 and 208 out of 210!) She won her class at Banbury Rally show...beating Brodie by one point! |
Sparkle has started the year after a long break by doing some nfc runs at UKA including her first metal seesaw in the ring confidently :-)
She has just got her first ever clear round at Cippenham KC show and came 3rd in a C1-7 helter skelter!! Clever ickle collie! The next day she made her Rally debut in Level 1 and got a 'excellent' qualifying score of 197. |

Spark is now 18 months old and has been in the ring doing some nfc runs. She is happy and confident which is the most important thing. Her contacts and weaves are coming along nicely at home :-)

Sparkly did her first ever competitive run in steeplechase and clever girly won it! She worked so well and definitely earned her first ever rosette and got a medal as well! She is very proud of her first sofa picture!!
At Ajaxs September show Sparkle also won her steeplechase despite having a pole down! Clever little girly :-)
