Bracken
Golden Sable bitch born March 2005, bred by Mrs J Warnes
By Willowtarn Tried and True out of Exbury Kali
KC Agility Grade 7 - Small height, UKA Champ - Toy height, Rally Level 1
Bracken is a fiesty little dog who has always been full of enthusiasm and incredibly quick to learn. She was the smallest, naughtiest puppy out of her litter of five pups and even at four weeks, her breeder knew she would be needing more than a pet home. Brax is an amazing little dog who makes up for her lack of size by having a BIG attitude! She loves to learn anything and is motivated by toys and any food going.

2015
Brax did her first Rally competition with Matthew at Nuneaton and came away with a 5th place and a qualifying score of 196!! Brax never ceases to amaze us! She has qualified for Masters at the UKA Grand Finals by coming 2nd overall at Quad Paws! Not bad for a ten year old :-) She obviously has no plans to retire any time soon! |
2016
Brax has had a few health issues this year that the vets never got to the bottom of but we have discovered she is fine as long as she has digestive enzymes with her food. Now she has picked up again she has started competing and is loving the new lower height (micro) option! She came 2nd in C4-7 jumping at Prestbury Park and 5th In C4-7 agility! She actually remembered what contacts are! :-) |
2014 - Bracken is on the toy team for the IFCS World Agility Championships in Holland so watch this space!
Brax WON a gold medal in the team triathlon event at the World Championships!! She was amazing and managed to finish 4th and 5th in a couple of the individual events too.
Brax has also done very well at KC shows this year managing to win some jumping classes and even finishing half a second behind Brooke in one. She might be tiny but those tight turns pay off! Not bad considering her height and the fact she is ten next March!

2013
Brax continues to amaze us! She has thrown herself back into training and competing with great enthusiasm and isn't doing bad considering her year off! She is currently in the lead on points for the IFCS Qualifiers and is loving her agility!!
Dinky Brax has qualified for the UKA Masters Final at the Grand Finals in December by winning the Overall Masters competition at the UKA Nationals week!!
Brax has also qualified for the Circular Knockout at the UKA Finals by winning the heat at HADS!
Bracken had great fun at the UKA Grand Finals and ran sooo well. She actually was quite wild in her Masters jumping run and got eliminated! She got through two rounds of the knockout but the course was a bit easy for a tiny dog. At least she was tired for her Masters Agility run where she finished a very credible 4th and did a lovely running contact on her dog walk :) We are very proud of our little diddle!

In 2012, Brax passed her Silver Good Citizens test and has been enjoying doing casual agility at UKA. We made the decision to semi retire her as she was struggling with the bigger jump heights but still like running at micro height!
Brax came 5th in Pre-Beginners and 3rd in Beginners Obedience at the ESSC Champ show in October 2012.Shortly after this she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is now on medication. She is like a different dog and will hopefully be back competing at agility properly in 2013!
2011 - Won a place on the England team for the World Agility Open Championships, 4th at Crufts in the Mini/Mixi Pairs with Lian Knight and Saturn
Matthew and Brax did really well at the World Open Agility Champs getting a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 9th placing them 7th overall in the individual pentathalon.

Brax also came 4th in the Championship Finals at Dundee, Wyre and Northern Week - very consistent!
