Brodie

Picture
Tri dog born February 2007, bred by Mrs M Chandler

By Ch. Shelridge Wishmaster (JW) out of Chandling Chanson Noire (by Blenmerrow Barnaby)

KC Agility Grade 7- Medium height (2RCC), UKA Champ - Midi height, Rally Level 3

CEA clear at 7 weeks,  Hip Score 5/3 = 8

Tested unaffected for PRA/CEA, DNA tested CEA - carrier

Brodie is a lovely dog who is so affectionate and nice to live with! He is laid back at home and loves his cuddles. He is beaten up all the time by the girls and he is so sweet and gentle playing with Brooke.

He went up the agility grades in 2010 from grade 3 to 7 in five months. In 2011 he competed in Champ classes and got the reserve CC at Northern Week in August and in 2014 he got the Reserve CC at East Lothian. Although he is a 'small' medium, he is a consistent dog and runs his contacts which helps keep his speed up against the bigger dogs. To our knowledge, he is one of the only shelties in the UK who has successfully won in the breed ring, at obedience and at top level agility. He has now been hip scored and may stand at stud to approved (DNA CEA clear) bitches only.

Brodie did his first Level 3 Rally competition at Leamington and got an excellent score of 197!

In March he was reserve for the medium ESSC team at Crufts and totally enjoyed every minute! They won which was brilliant :-)

Brodie has also won and been placed in agility competitions this year.

Brodie managed to get his last qualifying score in Level 2 to move up to Level 3 where he has to work off lead-eek! He now has his Level 2 excellent title.

Brodie has done one of the most important things in his life...he has become a Daddy to three strapping boys! Photo on the left is him seeing them for the first time!

Photo on the right is with his 'wife' Brooke in December after Brodie had come 2nd in the UKA Final Teams Tournament with his sheltie pals and Brooke was runner up in Small Grade 4 in the Annual Agility Club Awards. What a lovely couple they are!

Brodie has had a good start to his show season winning and getting placed in a few UKA champ classes and some KC G7 classes.

He also came 3rd in a large AV Pastoral showing class at a local show!

Brodies Rally training is going really well and I have entered him into his first competition at the end of May. We still need to polish up a few of the moves but he does love it :-)

Brodie won the Special Open Working dog class at the ESSC Spring Show and also came 3rd in Beginners Obedience! Not bad considering we were behind two 'obedience' dogs :)

At his first agility show of the year, Brodie won Champ agility and came 2nd in Steeplechase.

Picture
Brodie together with team mates Rommy and Savannah (Brookes half sister) has qualified for the UKA finals in the team tournament!! If you look closely at the picture he is trying to give me a kiss-soppy boy :)

Brodie worked like a dream at the IFCS World Agility Championships! His team finished 10th and individually he finished 11th and 13th in a couple of events. I'm so proud of how he just worked his butt off for 5 days in a row and still gave it his all in the last event. What an experience!

My beautiful boy got his 2nd RCC at East Lothian show in July this year! There were 40 dogs in Champ and the courses were a LOT of running! He was brilliant and worked so well in all of them. I am so proud of him-he really is my dog in a million!

Brodie has started Rally classes so hoping to compete next year!
